This will be the second time Digital Youth Festival will feature at QITCOM. The festival is designed to inspire the imagination of young minds in ICT through fun–filled, technology-related activities where children aged 8 years and above will visit a series of specially designed zones that encourage innovative, meaningful and enjoyable experiences that instill the skills needed for emerging technologies in a digital future.
Taking place on the October 29th and 30th 2019, local school children will be invited to visit specially designed zones in the Qatar National Convention Centre that aim to spark the imagination of the nation’s youth in technology through fun–filled technology related activities:
⦁ A Coding & Robotics zone – where students can design, program and test robots
⦁ A “Maker Space” encouraging creative thinking among students, through digital photos, 3D printing and design & build projects
⦁ An Edutainment zone – encouraging critical thinking and collaboration among students
⦁ A Media zone - introducing students to the world of digital media production and technology
⦁ Tech talks featuring young motivational speakers working in tech to inspire young minds
⦁ Codefest – coding competition for schools taking part in Tasmu Coders, Qatar’s one hour of code initiative.
