Under the patronage of His Highness, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Ministry of Transport and Communication has held QITCOM – the largest Information and Communication Technology showcase and event in Qatar – from 29th October to 1st November 2019 under the theme “Safe Smart Cities”. Featuring over 90 speakers, 300 technology exhibitors, 100 startups and 300 innovators and entrepreneur, QITCOM 2019 was a one-stop-shop for participants to showcase disruptive smart technologies and exchange next-generation knowledge.
QITCOM 2019 has hosted the first edition of Smart City Expo Doha, which included a group of leading experts and speakers from all over the world, to discuss the latest trends in the field of smart cities, and brainstorm possible solutions to challenges cities are facing today, through innovation and new technologies work on future development. Entrepreneurship zone at QITCOM 2019 provided a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and professionals to achieve their ambitions, learn from the best about digital entrepreneurship, network, gain inspiration to grow their business and lead the change. Around 670 entrepreneurs participated to the Entrepreneurship Zone activities, additionally 100 local, regional and international startups showcased their products and services.
